At SOLV Energy, we believe that the key to long-term solar asset performance is a highly skilled, continuously evolving operations and maintenance (O&M) team. That’s why we’ve built a robust Technical Training Program designed to attract top talent, accelerate technician development, and ensure consistent, high-quality service across every region we serve.
Our nationwide program is anchored by dedicated full-time technical trainers in each of our five regional service districts. These trainers provide hands-on instruction, real-time support, and ongoing mentorship to field technicians—ensuring that every technician is equipped to deliver safe, efficient, and expert service throughout the lifecycle of your project.
Structured Growth, Proven Results
The program features a four-level advancement track:
Level 1 begins with a 90-day onboarding plan that covers NERC compliance, site safety, and an introduction to SOLV Energy’s proprietary tools and technologies.
Levels 2-4 offer progressive, task-based training in key areas such as:
- Substation, MET station, tracker, module, and inverter maintenance
- Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Performance monitoring and reporting
- Client communication and software tools
As technicians advance, trainers track their progress through a proprietary training matrix and conduct in-person evaluations to ensure readiness for the next level.
Quality Assurance at Every Step
Technical trainers don’t just teach—they also uphold quality and safety standards across their districts. By reviewing work orders, identifying process improvements, and providing targeted retraining when needed, they help ensure that every service interaction meets the highest standards of excellence.
