A win-win for the Northeast
Built in partnership with CS Energy for D. E. Shaw Renewable Energy Investments (DESRI), Gravel Pit Solar in East Windsor, Connecticut was designed and built with nature in mind. The project is home to native plants and habitats that reduce water runoff, improve air quality and attract pollinator species like bees, birds and local insects. This approach helps preserve the surrounding environment by stabilizing the soil and inviting more species to form a new habitat. When complete, Gravel Pit will generate enough clean electricity to power over 12,000 homes.
